Bruised but not broken

This is my journey. I am a Black, female doctoral candidate diagnosed with chronic pain. I try to tell myself that a life in pain is better than no life at all, but sometimes I wonder. This blog is my own therapy. I am taking a proactive stand to stay healthy. This story also parallels the journey to complete my PhD, because that also requires therapy. Through this blog I hope to be more healthy and happy, but we shall see.
